LA 4009EU has been formulated to be in compliance with the European regulation “Reach” which discourages the use of Toluene. This is a Toluene free, high performance adhesive system that has proven to be especially useful in the fabrication and repair of PU or PVC belting or liner system. It exhibits high initial bond strength, with very strong bonds achieved overnight. Full cure develops within 5-7 days, with the final properties exhibiting high adhesion with excellent heat resistance. LA4009EU is a two-part adhesive that is traditionally used with CAT UR catalyst. However, for better resistance to discoloration in the outdoors, it may also be used with CAT UV catalyst. LA4009EU adhesive, when used with CAT UV, is protected with a UV inhibitor package to minimize the typical yellowing that occurs from outdoor use.

General Instructions
  • For optimal bond strength performance, buff cured rubber and then solvent clean with Toluene or MEK.
  • When bonding to metal, follow the instructions on the HB Fuller PC4426BKMOD technical data sheet.
  • Before use, pre-stir the LA7337BLK adhesive and mix it thoroughly with the CAT7337 catalyst.
  • The mix ratio is 5.5 parts catalyst/100 parts LA7337BLK by weight or 6.0 fluid oz per gallon.
  • After the final coat has dried, use a cloth dampened with Toluene and wipe over both surfaces to be bonded.
  • Once an aggressive tack is achieved, mate the two surfaces and roll out with a 2# metal roller to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Depending on the temperature and humidity, the parts can typically be handled in 24 hours.
  • Full bond strength cure is achieved in seven days.
  • The pot life of the catalyzed adhesive is 4 hours.
