Surface preparation
- All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials.
- When cleaning contaminated substrates, HS Butyl recommends using propan-2-ol (IPA) and allowing it to dry before applying the butyl tape.
Application
- Apply directly from the reel, removing the backing paper in short lengths.
- Keep the product taut or slightly stretched while wrapping to ensure a good seal.
