- The hot melt adhesive tank must be tightly covered to prevent debris from falling into it and affecting the performance of the adhesive.
- As the hot melt adhesive must be heated when used, personal protective equipment must be worn.

- Material is applied hot-appropriate clothing and eye protection should be used.
- Use adequate ventilation to remove any hot melt fumes or vapors that are generated.
- Keep containers and premelters covered to avoid contamination.
