- FOSTER® 40-80 Disinfectant is a registered formulation with Health Canada.
- It is a full-strength disinfectant and comes in a convenient, ready-to-use dilution.
- 40-80 has been evaluated in the presence of 5% serum by the AOCA Use-Dilution test and found to be effective against a broad spectrum of gram-negative and gram-positive organisms.
- FOSTER® 40-80 Disinfectant offers user safety in that end- users need not work with a corrosive and sometimes dangerous concentrate.
- FOSTER® 40-80 Disinfectant comes full strength for effective and economical use.

Dependent upon the method of application and the surface. Apply in sufficient quantity to ensure that the surface remains wet continuously for at least ten (10) minutes
- Preparation and Application Information

- Causes eye irritation.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing.
- Avoid breathing spray mist and vapor.
- Always ensure adequate ventilation.
- Avoid contamination of food.
- Any treated surface that may contact food or feed products should be rinsed thoroughly with potable water after treatment and before reuse.
- The use of protective clothing including, coveralls, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, shoes plus socks, chemical resistant gloves (such as nitrile or butyl), and face protection is recommended when loading and applying this product.
- Wash hands, face and exposed skin after handling product, and before eating, drinking, or smoking.
- Remove contaminated clothing, including gloves, and wash before reuse.
- When disinfecting surfaces in those settings where the hiv is expected to be encountered, such as where contamination by blood or body fluids is likely, applicators are advised to where appropriate personal protective equipment including disposable gloves, gown and mask.
- All cleaning materials or waste potentially contaminated with the HIV should be sterilized in an appropriate manner (autoclave) or disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
- Limitations
- Do not store or apply to surfaces below 0°C or above 38°C.
- For use on hard (inanimate), non-porous surfaces.
- Not Recommended for use on duct liner insulations.
- For professional use only. Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not dilute.
- Cleaning Information
- Thoroughly rinse all equipment with tap water until all evidence of 40-80 is eliminated.
- Dispose of saturated wipes in accordance with local regulations.
- Triple rinse (or equivalent) containers. If spilled, dike and contain with inert materials (sand, earth, etc.) and transfer the liquid and solids separately to containers for recovery or disposal.
