FLX 570 2K PU adhesive is a premium, two-component, solvent free, polyurethane adhesive. It is moisture and weather resistant. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It is suitable for various rubber and wooden flooring applications. The two-part FLX 570 consists of part A which is a thixotropic paste, and part B, which is a cross-linking hardener. When the two parts are mixed, a uniform cream-colored paste is obtained, which is easy to apply using a brush or roller.

Uses

Uses : FLX 570 is ideal for bonding rubber tiles/sheets, PVC sheets, PVC tiles, parquet, multi-ply and pre-finished wooden flooring, wood-plank flooring and laminate flooring. Note: Test the substrate in accordance with applicable standards. Careful substrate testing is recommended in wooden flooring work. FLX 570 is also recommended for bonding various insulation boards such as EPS (expanded polystyrene), XPS (extruded polystyrene), PIR (polyisocyanurate).
Surface Preparation : The surface should be structurally sound, clean, dry, leveled and free from dust, curing compounds, grease and other loose debris. Keep container closed when not in use.
Application Procedure : Prime absorbent and porous substrates with FLX 530 primer. On very uneven or very rough surfaces, apply FLX 550 self levelling compound after primer application. Pour the FLX 570 adhesive out of the container but do not scrape out remnants as they may not be totally mixed and may not cure. Use the FLX 570 adhesive immediately. Apply the FLX 570 adhesive using a suitable notched trowel @ 0.25 to 0.4 kg/m2 per layer, depending on the porosity of the substrate. Immediately lay in the wooden flooring with a light sliding movement and knock it into place well. Curing time is dependent on atmospheric conditions and temperature. Curing will be considerably retarded at temperatures below 10oC. Bulk product in the bucket will cure faster than the film spread on the substrate, due to chemically induced heat build-up during the curing process. This temperature increase is negated once adhesive is spread. Higher temperatures will generally increase curing speed and reduce open time.
Clean-Up : Clean with warm water and soap when wet. Mineral spirit, when dry.
