ST-30

ST-30 is a flexible butyl joint sealant designed for sealing precast concrete, manholes, septic tanks, box culverts, concrete pipes, vaults, and vertical panels. It is permanently flexible, tacky, moisture-resistant, and durable against acidic and alkaline environments. Not for use in expansion joints or moving joints. Available in various sizes and shapes, it meets or exceeds ASTM C990 standards for butyl tapes.

Product Advantages:

ST-30 exhibits cold weather flexibility and shows no adhesion loss or cracking in cold temperatures. It can be applied in a wide range of temperatures and endures extreme outdoor weather conditions. The flexible tape form makes for a watertight seal with fast installation. ST-30 is non-shrinking and non-hardening. It is chemically resistant, showing no deterioration after 30 days exposure and meets or exceeds ASTM C990 Section 6 specifications for butyl tapes. * AASHTO M-198 with the exception of flash point and fire point.

Application & Surface Preparation:
All installation surfaces must be clean and dry. MP-150 Primer is recommended for installations below 4°C (40°F). Place exposed surface down and apply along the entire joint, being careful not to stretch the material. Cut off excess and remove release liner. Butt joint cut ends and knead together to complete the seal.

Limitations:

  • Designed for non-moving joints
  • Not intended for expansion joints

Product should be stored below 49°C (120°F). Shelf life is 2 years when stored as recommended.
