SILAPRENE® DC12906 is a high-quality polychloroprene-based HPL contact adhesive that bonds a variety of materials, such as decorative laminates, linoleum, flake board plywood, steel, aluminum, and galvanized, to counter and cabinet tops. It is also used for bonding a wide variety of skins and cores in laminated construction. This product is designed to provide easy and uniform coverage in high-speed manual or automated spray applications.

Surface preparation:

  • Clean, dry, dust-free surfaces are required for optimum bond strength. Surface temperatures should be maintained at temperatures above 40° F.

Application methods:
Suitable spray equipment is listed below.

  • Binks HVLP BBR Mach I with 0.055 - 0.070 fluid tip
  • Graco Delta with 0.055 - 0.070 fluid tip
  • Devilbiss JGMV530 with 0.055 - 0.070 fluid tip

Always stir adhesive well prior to use. DC12906 is suitable for use with most any spray equipment, drying & lamination equipment.

Clean-up:

  • Acetone is recommended for cleaning equipment and over spray. Other solvents will provide varying degrees of cleaning capability.
