Mounting and Application
- Pick up the roll from the core and load it onto the dispensing system. To prevent damage, do not press into the tape or put pressure or side impact into the roll edge.
- Proper roll tension throughout the application is critical to achieve quality board/liner without delamination or warp.
- Optimal application temperature is 72°F (22°C) onto board that is 158°F (70°C) or below. Do not apply below 32°F (0°C). Stack temperatures also affect bond quality. The optimal stack temperature is below 122°F (50°C).
- Cleaning requirement may vary depends on the dispensing speed, frequency, and environment. Pressure rollers and pulleys may require cleaning after long run periods. The pressure sensitive adhesive, by nature, flows to the edge of the tape which can cause a buildup on contact points.
- Application Instructions
Means to minimize adhesive build up
- Keep adhesive side away from the rollers and moving parts. Flip tapes to have adhesive away from rollers and pulleys.
- Make sure all rollers and pulleys run freely and are well aligned.
- Use only clean rollers free from dust or soil.
- Typical Applications
For use as a simple packaging opening system for corrugated and folding carton boxes and envelopes. Suitable for opening use from 14°F (-10°C) to 158°F (70°C). Applied onto the corrugated board at the dry end of the corrugated process with an H.B. Fuller dispensing system. Alternately, the product can be applied using other dry end dispensing systems or intermittently on the folder/gluer lines.
