  • DUCT-FAS® ADHESIVE has full coverage spray characteristics with conventional or airless spray equipment with little tendency to cobweb. Its high solids and gel-like consistency make it ideal for vertical or overhead surfaces and for brush or roller application.
  • DUCT-FAS® ADHESIVE meets ASTM C916, Type IV (ASC- A-7001A, Type IV) and NFPA 90A and 90B 25/50 requirements. DUCT-FAS® ADHESIVE is produced under the classification and follow-up service of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.

Preparation and Application Information

Material Preparation
Stir well. DO NOT THIN. Apply only to clean, dry surfaces. Keep container closed when not in use to prevent solvent evaporation. If stored below 60°F, the product should be conditioned in its unopened container at room temperature for at least 24 hours before usage.

Application
Clean all surfaces thoroughly. Make sure the surfaces are free of any oil residue. Spray apply a uniform coverage of adhesive to one surface at 300 – 500 sq. ft./gal. (7.4 – 12.3 m2 /l). While the adhesive is still w et, combine substrates w ith sufficient pressure to ensure 100% contact.

Clean Up
Use a chlorinated solvent (non-flammable) or xylol (flammable).

Limitations
  • Always test plastic and painted materials for compatibility when using a solvent-based product.
  • Allow to dry to a solvent-free condition before installing weld pins.
  • Not suggested for sealing vapor barrier jackets.
  • Overhead applications may require mechanical fasteners.
