Uses : FLX 577 is a high strength dispersion adhesive for vinyl floor coverings, textile floor coverings with a latex, PVC or PUR foam backing, polyolefin sheeting, quartz vinyl flooring, rubber sheets & tiles up to 2.5 mm thickness with a smooth & sanded back.
Surface Preparation : The surface should be structurally sound, clean, dry, leveled and free from dust, curing compounds, grease and other loose debris. Keep container closed when not in use.
Application Procedure : Apply FLX 577 uniformly on the substrate using a fine trowel (Notch A1, A2 or A3). Allow FLX 577 to cure for approximately 5-20 minutes before laying the floor covering. Lay in the floor covering in the wet adhesive bed, avoid air pockets and rub down carefully. The covering material must be tension-free and lay flat on the substrate, if not then weight it down. Floor coverings should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight and from penetration of moisture particularly during the setting phase. It is essential to ensure good contact between the floor covering and adhesive. Bonding over existing floor coverings should be avoided. Clean any excess adhesive with water immediately. Do not allow the adhesive to dry. Note: Before carrying out floor installation work ensure if the floor temperature and air temperature is above 15°C and relative humidity is below 75%.
Clean-Up : Clean with warm water and soap when wet. Mineral spirit, when dry.- Uses
Uses : FLX 595 is an ideal product designed for adhering floor coverings, especially carpet tiles with felt, bitumen, PVC and other polymer backings to existing smooth floors and adhering underlays to sub-floors when using a release bond underlay system. FLX 595 may also be used at a low coating weight as a release system to allow easy removal of a floor covering when required. FLX 595 is suitable for surfaces like raised access floor panels, concrete, cementitious screeds, asphalt, terrazzo, chipboard, hardboard, plywood, smoothing compounds and existing floor coverings, e.g. thermoplastic tiles, PVC or linoleum. FLX 595 is suitable for use where there are underfloor heating installations (surface floor temperature must not exceed 27ºC). However, heating should be switched off at least 48 hours before and after the installation of floor covering.
Surface Preparation : The surface should be structurally sound, clean, dry, leveled and free from dust, curing compounds, grease and other loose debris. Keep container closed when not in use.
Application Procedure : To achieve an overall release bond, FLX 595 should be applied by soft brush, roller or trowel over the entire floor area and allowed to dry to a clear, transparent, tacky film. Once clear, the tiles should be laid into position, ensuring that no air is trapped. Alternatively, FLX 595 can be applied to the back of the tiles and left to dry to a clear, tacky film prior to bonding. On porous surfaces, a permanent bond can be achieved by laying into wet adhesive. However, doing so onto non-porous surfaces (especially metal) will result in moisture entrapment and possible rusting of the metal access panels.
Clean-Up : Clean with warm water and soap when wet. Mineral spirit, when dry.
