BAM® 2500 is a hotmelt adhesive based on special polyolefin-type polymers (also called metallocenes) which is applied hot. The adhesive is applied in a molten, liquid state and promotes almost immediate adhesion after cooling. The BAM 2500 is a fast-setting, highly heat-resistant adhesive specially developed for closing boxes in medium-high speed automatic machines and for closing boxes of vegetables and fruit. Due to its excellent thermal stability, it can be used at high application temperatures without loss of adhesive properties, without carbonization and with fewer machine stops for maintenance.

Applications

BAM 2500 is suitable for bonding high-memory boxes (such as fruit, vegetable and fruit boxes) and has excellent performance at high ambient temperatures and high machine speeds. It is a highly thermally stable adhesive, which allows for lower maintenance costs and less machine downtime. The BAM 2500 has an affinity with many types of paper and corrugated, but as the variety of substrates in the industry is very high, prior adhesion/bonding tests are recommended to ensure that the adhesive meets the specific requirements. All the constituent parts of this adhesive have been approved by the US FDA under CRF 21.175.105 (adhesives)
