Application Instructions
  1. Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean and free from grease dirt and other contaminants.
  2. Apply the adhesive to one surface of the glue line. Apollo recommends using a DeVilbiss JGV-562 gun fitted with an FX fluid tip/needle and a 777 air-cap. An atomising pressure of 70-90 psi and a fluid pressure of 10-15 psi is required.
  3. The amount required will vary according to the porosity/ smoothness of the substrate but will normally be in the range of 30-60gms per square meter.
  4. Once the adhesive has been applied the substrate should be assembled and pressed within 15 minutes (at 20°C). A pressure 5-10psi should be sufficient, using a platen or other type of press. Substrate should be pressed for at least 45 minutes (at 20°C), depending on ambient temperature and other atmospheric conditions.
  5. When using a heated press place the seat cover in the press and consolidate with heat and pressure until the adhesive has cured.

NB: Condensation of moisture on the surface of the substrate may occur under conditions of high humidity, which may result in an unsatisfactory bond.
