Applications & Uses

Product Application

Suitable to produce tapes, film or labels based on the below substrates.

Suitable Substrates: Natural and synthetic textiles, plastic films (PVC, polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyester, etc.); paper, expanded materials (PE, PP, PU, rubber, etc.).

Application Instructions: Product should be coated with proper coating equipment to release paper or release film. After being dried it should be coupled with substrate. It could also be applied to the substrate. It is very important that the adhesive is perfectly dry before lamination. In fact, traces of residual solvent could inhibit cross-linking of the polymer, which leads to a decrease of technical characteristics comparing to the specifications. Product can be diluted with different solvents such as ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons, and esters. Mix of aliphatic hydrocarbons also can be used for dilution. Solvents must be anhydrous. Product can be cross-linked using liquid Isocyanate.

Suggestions:

  • Use only dry solvents. Introduction of water can compromise cross- linking process of the polymer
  • Don’t mix with other adhesive without previous tests needed to verify compatibility and stability over time.

Cleaning Instructions: For cleaning of machineries and tools we suggest the use of acetone since this solvent coagulate the adhesive and help its removal.
